Mission Statement
Compelled by the love of Jesus Christ (2 Cor 5:14) and guided by the principles of Catholic Social Teaching—the Dignity of the Human Person, the Common Good, Subsidiarity, and Solidarity—the Community Center at Visitation, a ministry of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, strives to be a beacon of hope in our community. Rooted in faith, we joyfully respond to the urgent needs of our diverse neighborhood families, offering support and accompaniment that foster belonging, love, and compassion for all.

Food Pantry Ministry
Monday Mornings 9 AM – 12 PM
The Community Center at Visitation’s Food Pantry serves families with dignity and compassion. The pantry is open Mondays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and provides fresh fruits and vegetables, proteins, canned goods, and grains.
Through this ministry, we respond to urgent needs while accompanying our neighbors with respect and care.

English Classes Ministry
The Community Center at Visitation offers English Classes as a ministry of welcome, empowerment, and accompaniment. Through this program, we seek to support our neighbors as they strengthen language skills that promote participation, opportunity, and belonging within the community.
English Classes are offered twice a year, in the fall and spring, and are open to adult learners from diverse backgrounds. In the spirit of solidarity and the common good, this ministry creates a supportive learning environment where individuals are encouraged to grow in confidence and self-sufficiency.

Despensa de Alimentos
lunes en las mañanas 9 AM – 12 PM
La Despensa de Alimentos del Community Center at Visitation sirve a las familias con dignidad y compasión. La despensa está abierta los lunes de 9:00 a.m. a 12:00 p.m. y ofrece frutas y verduras frescas, proteínas, alimentos enlatados y granos.
A través de este ministerio, respondemos a las necesidades urgentes y acompañamos a nuestros vecinos con respeto y solidaridad.

Clases de inglés
El Centro Comunitario de Visitación ofrece clases de inglés como un ministerio de bienvenida, empoderamiento y acompañamiento. A través de este programa, buscamos apoyar a nuestros vecinos mientras fortalecen sus habilidades lingüísticas que promueven la participación, las oportunidades y el sentido de pertenencia dentro de la comunidad.
Las clases de inglés se ofrecen dos veces al año, en otoño y primavera, y están abiertas a estudiantes adultos de diversos orígenes. En un espíritu de solidaridad y bien común, este ministerio crea un entorno de aprendizaje propicio en el que se anima a las personas a crecer en confianza y autosuficiencia.
